Federica Galli was born in Soresina (CR) in 1932, then moved in Milan where she attended courses at the Accademy of Fine Arts of Brera in order to improve her knowledge of Italian art's history in the regions of Veneto, Tuscany and Umbria.
The meeting with engraving art happens directly with Durer, Brueghel and Rembrandt's works.
Her first etching dates 1954, while the definitive farewell from painting technique is around 1963. This year is the beginning of a brilliant showing career in Italy and at international level (London, Paris, Beijing, Athens).
The artist dedicates herself mainly to landscapes and to the nature around. Working on several themes she moves through foreshortening of different cities such as Milan, Turin, Venice and other Italian cities, towards images of nature, to come up at the end to the phase of monumental trees.
