Roberto Mineo was born in Milan in 1963. During his university years he works with the photo studio "L'immaginaria", and realizes two personal exhibitions. In 1982 in Rome, he works as assistant of Bruno Olivero and begins to make research on landscape and architecture, using wide angle lenses. He comes back to Milan and starts his own query in still life and founds the John Kaverdash School. In the following years he realizes complex researches on the fusion of scenographic and photographic elements. He receives some critics favour at the Venice Biennale; in the last years he dedicates his works to a new complex opera, Landscapes, that represents a new phase of artist's research towards landscape pictures.
